AKA Lookout mountain. There are connectors from T100 and we are starting to figure them out. It's nice to have a new area to explore and it's been there all along.
I went for a hike on Tuesday after work and rediscovered some trail and have a nice addition to some techy trail riding in mind. Another nice area to explore that has been there all along.
When we first started riding and mapping all the canals and paths it was so fun to go explore every ThNR. Finding new stuff to explore is getting harder but it's till happening. It's been there all along.
Flodizzle and Spiker rallied from Tucson and we pulled together a few Phx locals and headed out early for the Black Canyon Trail. Good thing too because we were to spend an extra hour or two riding back and forth on some jeep roads unrelated to the trail. It was worth it in the end. We rode the Nothern segment from Black Canyon City which entailed some rugged and beautiful xc singletrack.
There were some water crossings.
Some crossings being more successful than others.
Bermuda Triangle
It was getting hot. We filtered water.
Devo realizes he should have filtered earlier.
Rock Springs pie. Yum. The same cannot be said for the Club Sammich. I recommend sticking with fried/grilled foods there.
It has been a long time since I've had the Niner set-up as an SS. The knee has been feeling better and I've been itching to put the bike to one of it's many other personalities.
Spun out 32x18 on the road.
I heard these Jones bars are going for $500 now. Good for him.
I've taken to riding the light rail to work in the morning and riding home in the afternoon. This enables me to shower at home and not have to carry locks to shower at the gym and I get a ride in the afternoon.
Gnome, Spann and Brendan were to join Gordy and me for another urban overnighter this weekend. Bikepacking. Only Brendan was able to throw off the shackles and join in. We met at my house and rode the 10 some miles to Gordy's.
You might wonder but yes, Brendan is taller in person. The camera takes off a few feet.
