AZT Utah to Flagstaff - Day 6

This was to be our last day on the AZT and we actually finished a day ahead of schedule.
It's a bitter sweet affair. On one hand I can't wait to see my family, have a shower and some proper food. On the other hand I feel like continuing on to the mexico border.

John's pics of this trip can be found here.

Last day drying dew and thawing ice.

Kedrick Park I believe.

Still plenty of riding and climbing to be had.

Just like that we were back in Flag eating huge salads and sipping ale at Beaver Street.

Time to head home.

Thanks for lookin.

AZT Utah to Flagstaff - Day 5

It was nice to have a night without rain. I think it was the first night I remember actually having dreams. This made the morning especially nice. It was also nice because I have always had to bail on the section of single track between Grandview and Lockwood Tank in favor of the road.
Not this time and boy were we in for a treat.

Confusing detour that we probably could have just ignored.

Not knowing the water situation ahead we stopped to filter at Lockwood Tank.

Cistern at the old moqui stage stop. Dig the old photo of the Coconino Cyclying Club.

Tip of the peaks waaay in the distance.

Elk.

In the middle of nowhere we ran into a boy scout troop getting their cycling patches. I hope that went well....

Lunch just above Babbitt Ranch.

A quick hit and filter from a stock tank.

I thought we were going to escape the mud but after Babbit Ranch it started.
It got really bad for a bit but I was too pissed to take pics. I think John got some good ones

Time to find water and make camp for the night.

Big buffet on the last night.

The view from the porch.

Good night John Boy.
