west siiiiideeee

I took a nice little spin on the lesser known trails on the west side of the Phoenix Preserves.

As I was riding to the trail some feathers blew across my path. I looked up expecting to see a pigeon taking flight and instead saw a hawk having breakfast.

Me and froggy went a courtin.

Froggy was my mojo for the Flight of the Pigs.

give peas a chance

Busy weekend.

On the way to the ThNR.
5:30-10:30PM , 50+ miles.

Xmas party Friday night in East LA (aka Verrado).
7pm-10:30PM. 45 minutes each way; well worth the trip.

Saturday 9-11 am.
Futbol.

14 month old + 2 hours at soccer = learning new levels of parenting skills and patience.

All that we are saying is...

And if that wasn't enough it was time for the Phoenix Electric Light Parade.
(There was also a bday party from 1:30-3:30PM)
6-9PM. 3.8 miles round trip = great to get the whole family out on bikes.

Another exercise in patience but well worth the effort in happy/entranced kid payout.

Imagination

Is a good thing.

So is relearning to sew.

I think once I get the whole thread tension thing figured out I'll be fine.

Boxes are good too.

Christmas is also enjoyable.

229 lbs

It was time for Jim's Flight of the Pigs ride - it's 13th year and my 5th turn.
It seemed like a smaller group this year with a tight formation. Pace was good and waiting was minimal. Each rider gets weighed in with bike and all gear. The heaviest rider gets the piggy snout.

The weather was ideal.

Let me demonstrate the iGrope toggle switch functionality.

Why so angry?

Obligatory lap around Hunt's Tomb.

Hoss does a nice job on the pins.
