pissing the morning away

it was sprinkling this morning
when i left my house in the early morning darkness.
kinda nice. by the time i hit dreamy draw it was full on raining.
by the time we hit reach 11 it had stopped. nice and muddy reach 11 was.
we had to portage the bikes through some mud. i would have taken pictures
but small biting black flies damn near made me insane.

the cross bike is in disarray so the commuter got some action.

we went out to the McDowell mountains uber early.
around the mtn was the call of the day.
trying to get the cue sheet for PEE in order.
i hope it makes sense. that was one rough, hot, muggy,
brutal, fun ride in just 26 miles.
we were all a little punchy by the end.
no way is a cross bike good for the race.

the knee was starting to feel on the mend last weekend
and my trip to endurance rehab seems to have boosted that.
so i picked a fine day to start riding to work again.
i got to play in the rain too.
